I’m honored to be assuming the presidency of our organization following Pat Booth, who did a marvelous job during the last twelve months. She did her job with grace and a calm manner that made it seem easy, although I know that was not always the case. Thank you, Pat.
A big thank-you to all of our dedicated committee chairs and members who served on those committees during this past year. You are the reason this group continues to thrive and grow! We are very popular, you know.
The Bastille Day dinner chaired by and held at the home of Nomi Trapnell ended our 2016-17 season. The food, the music, the ambiance, and the company were unsurpassed! Thank you Nomi and Fritz for hosting us.
September starts off with TGIF on the very first day of the month. Please join us for the program on September 14 at the Los Altos Hills City Council Chambers. At 10:30, Liz and Walt Wilson will show photos and tell us about their trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. Come at 10:00 for a cup of coffee and a snack.
The Champagne Brunch on Saturday, September 9th is at the Forum and will to be our first, big, traditional party of the year. This will be a chance for all of us to meet the many members who are new to our club. Reservations must reach Tracy Joyce by September 1st.
I look forward to meeting all of you new members and those of you old members whom I have yet to meet at the Champagne Brunch. Have a wonderful fall season as summer winds down.
