Dear Family and Friends,
It's that time of year again! The MMRF Race for Research 5K Run/Walk in San Francisco is approaching. Our family has supported this event since Laura was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer of the bone marrow, in 2003 and now we are in our 7th year of fundraising.
Disappointingly, Laura relapsed this past fall and is again undergoing a chemotherapy program. Thanks to continuing research, she is now taking a drug which was in unavailable when she was first diagnosed. We do not know how long this drug will work for her and continue to hope for a cure.
We are forming a team for the 2010 San Francisco Race for Research on Sunday, April 25, 2010. Please join our team and support our effort to help the MMRF continue its progress and offer hope to thousands of individuals and their families facing the diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. Together, we will walk/run with 1,000 other racers in a demonstration of support, purpose, and hope.
